ANALISA DEFORMASI TERMAL PADA EVAPORATOR SISTEM DESALINASI AIR LAUT SECARA EKSPERIMENTAL DAN ANALITIK DENGAN BAHAN EVAPORATOR STAINLESS STEEL

Abstract


Deformation is a condition in which the body undergo physical changes caused these objects receives the load stress or thermal stress. This research analyzes the use of metal alloys Type 304 Stainless Steel as a material manufacture seawater desalination system evaporator. This study aims to analyze the total deformation experienced by the evaporator and whether the use of metal alloys Type 304 Stainless Steel is used as material worthy of making seawater desalination system evaporator to the temperature at 26oC to 50oC. The study was conducted in two methods, the first method experimentally to measure the deformation of the evaporator in a state of real work and the second method is a analitical calculation. The study was conducted three times and get the total deformation to the walls of the evaporator of 0,00208 mm; 0,00204 mm; 0,00214 mm; and for the base of the evaporator at 0,0021 mm; 0,0021 mm; 0,00216 mm. Validate the form of errata average difference calculations for wall evaporator 5,63% and 3,57% for the base evaporator.
