Karakteristik Pelarut dan Solar Hasil Proses Pirolisis Limbah Plastik

Abstract


Solven dan Solar hasil proses pirolisis limbah plastik PE telah diuji karakteristiknya. Proses pirolisis ini dapat mengatasi permasalahan limbah plastik yang tidak dapat didaur ulang dan sulit terurai di lingkungan. Proses pirolisis dilakukan dalam reaktor pada suhu 300 ºC - 450 ºC dengan penambahan katalis kemudian gas dikondensasikan dalam serangkaian kondensor atau tangki air. Produk cair difraksinasi dan dikarakterisasi mendekati syarat mutu produk solven Pertasol dan LAWS serta solar produk Pertamina. Karakteristik solar dari proses fraksinasi produk cair hasil pirolisis kedua metode memiliki mutu lebih tinggi dari solar tipe 51 karena memiliki indeks setana lebih tinggi dan kandungan sulfur lebih rendah. Karakteristik Pertasol maupun LAWS menunjukkan metode tangki air memberikan hasil lebih baik dibandingkan metode kondensor. Metode tangki air juga lebih hemat listrik dibandingkan dengan metode kondensor.
