Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

The author should submit or submit a script based on the following instructions:

  1. The submitted / published article is the result of research in the unpublished and unplanned fields of Biotechnology, Process, Food and Environment, published in other publications.
  2. The manuscript should be submitted online through the journal website. Author must login to submit the manuscript. Online registration is free of charge.
  3. Manuscripts of no more than 15 pages of A4 size include images and tables (may containing attachments that attached in supplementary files), written using open office text document (.odt) or microsoft word (.doc / .docx)
  4. Writing format of the article / article : 

    a)      The title, containing a maximum of 15 words, is written in Indonesian (Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold) and English (Times New Roman 12 pt, Italic), single spaced and be centered.

    b)      The author's name is written under the heading with the proviso that the author is more than one with different affiliation then marked by 1), 2) and so on which written in Times New Roman 12 pt, bold, single spaced and be centered.

    c)       The agency / address + Email is written under Author name (Times New Roman 11 pt), single spaced and be centered.

    d)      Abstracts are written in Bahasa Indonesia (maximum 250 words) and English (maximum 200 words), using Times New Roman 11 pt, italic, single spaced and be justified. Abstract contains background research, objectives, research methods and results obtained.

    e)      Keywords are between 3 to 5 words or short phrases in alphabetical order using Times New Roman 11 pt, italic, single spaced and be justified.

    f)       Introduction consists of: Background / problems, supporting theories (literature review), objectives and scope, written in Times New Roman 11 pt, single spaced and be justified.

    g)      Research Methods may contain: materials, tools, experimental design / research design and research procedures which written in Times New Roman 11 pt, single spaced and be justified.

    h)      Results and Discussion state the results and draw attention in the text to important details shown in tables and figures. Point out the significance of the results in relation to the reasons for doing the work, and place them in the context of other work. Please highlight differences between your results or findings and the previous publications by other researchers. Those are written in Times New Roman 11 pt, single spaced and be justified.

    i)        Conclusion (can include suggestions if any) written in Times New Roman 11 pt, single spaced and be justified.

    j)        Acknowledgments (if any) written in Times New Roman 11 pt, single spaced and be justified.

    k)      References are refers to the APA system (American Psychological Association) written in Times New Roman 10 pt, single spaced and be justified.

  5. Tables are numbered and written briefly and clearly at the top; The graphics and images should be clear, contrast and made with black ink. Each picture has a clear number, title and description underneath that written in Times New Roman 10 pt, single spaced and be centered.

  6. Photos should have good sharpness (at least 300 dpi), given clear numbers, titles and captions underneath that written in Times New Roman 10 pt, single spaced and be centered.

Pre-submission editing

Papers must reach certain standards before referees are asked to consider them. Submissions that are not in the correct format or printed reliably may, therefore, be returned to authors without review.

Authors for whom English is a second language may wish to consider having their manuscript professionally edited before submission to improve the English.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
